When it comes to rumor accuracy, DigiTimes has a batting average somewhere right in between the world’s greatest psychic and someone playing cell phone mad libs. While plenty of the stuff they say is spot on, much of it should be taken with a wee bit of wariness. This latest rumor, however, we have full confidence in. Why? Because we confirmed it 9 months ago.

Back in May of 2009, when the N900 and Maemo 5 were still months from release, we got the scoop on what was even further down the road: Maemo Harmattan, otherwise known as Maemo 6.

According to DigiTime’s sources, Maemo 6 is coming in the second half of 2010, while our initial report said Q4 2010. The fourth quarter is most certainly in the second half, so the stars seem to be aligning here.

(And for what it’s worth, we checked back in with a few of our sources; according to them, it’s highly unlikely we’ll see Maemo 6 in any quarter before the fourth.)
